There are, of course, up-coming voices, saying that Tom Waits’ 1979 performance in the Australian Don Lane Show was the model for Heath Ledger’s strange interpretation of Joker. Naturally, we see it slightly different: Heath Ledger was nothing but playing an old toothless snake which had too much to drink. End of story.
